Pohutakawa Landing, is a new Metlifecare retirement village in Beachlands. The client had secured a large tract of land and had already built stand-alone homes. They wanted to create a two-storey amenities block at the heart of the development, which would house a kitchen, bar, swimming pool and gym on the ground floor, with living units on the first floor.
As well as designing the structure for the amenities block, we also designed the structures for three 3-4 storey apartment blocks containing independent living units, as well as in the process of designing a two-storey, high care facility made of timber.
