More than a decade in structural design consultancy, combined with 18 years in process engineering, gives Chris Orr a unique blend of traditional draughting expertise and advanced digital modelling capability. Starting his career on the drawing board, Chris has evolved alongside technology — moving from traditional draughting to full 3D modelling with Revit, which he has used exclusively since 2012.
This blend of traditional draughting precision and cutting-edge modelling allows Chris to produce highly detailed, accurate structural drawings while leveraging the efficiencies of modern Building Information Modelling (BIM). His collaborative approach ensures seamless coordination between architectural and structural designs, helping reduce errors, improve constructability, and provide clients with clear, buildable outcomes.
Chris has led draughting on a wide range of projects, from complex architectural builds to large commercial developments and landmark public facilities. Clients appreciate his ability to communicate clearly, deliver efficiently, and add value through smart, well-integrated detailing.
