BNZ WARKWORTH: TURNING A HERITAGE

BUILDING INTO A MODERN WORKPLACE

This project involved earthquake strengthening works to the historic Bank of New Zealand building, situated at the intersection of Neville and Warkworth Streets. It also involved the construction of a new commercial block next door.

We were engaged to undertake a detailed assessment of the building and detailed improvement works, including strengthening the floor diaphragms and connections to masonry walls, as well as designing the structure for the new building.

Benefits of having us on the team:
  • We helped to preserve the heritage of the existing building and turned it into a modern workplace.
